Vendor Research and Management
Ronald McDonald House Charities Saskatchewan (RMHC-SK) seeks to identify and verify Indigenous-owned and local businesses to enhance community engagement and partnership opportunities in alignment with its procurement policy. This project involves researching over 813 businesses to determine their ownership status, cross-referencing them against an existing stakeholder list, and identifying duplicates. The project will provide RMHC-SK with an organized and validated database, supporting its long-term vendor management strategies.
Donor Database Clean-up and Process Development
Ronald McDonald House Charities Saskatchewan is seeking to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of its donor database managed on DonorPerfect. The current database contains some updated and inconsistent data, which can hinder effective donor communication and fundraising efforts. The goal of this project is to clean up the existing donor database by identifying and correcting errors, removing duplicates, and standardizing data entries. Additionally, the project aims to develop streamlined processes for future data entry and management to ensure ongoing data integrity. This project provides an opportunity for learners to apply their knowledge of data management and process improvement in a real-world setting. The tasks are closely related and can be completed by a team of learners from academic programs such as business administration or information technology, ideally with some prior CRM experience, within a timeframe of under 60 hours.
Stakeholder Engagement and Awareness
Ronald McDonald House Charities Saskatchewan (RMHC-SK) aims to enhance awareness of its mission to increase occupancy rates. The project focuses on implementing actionable tasks from the organization's occupancy strategy. Students will engage in activities to boost awareness among healthcare providers and build partnerships with regional communities, local businesses, schools, Indigenous communities, and third-party vendors. Key tasks include writing and sending email and letter communications, making follow-up phone calls, and managing the stakeholder database. Students will be provided with a list of existing stakeholders and will also research new organizations and communities to connect with. This project offers an opportunity for students to apply communication and organizational skills in a real-world context, contributing to a meaningful cause.
Mobile App Development
We would like to build a mobile app to allow us to communicate with the families who are staying with us while their child receives medical care. The primary focus for the student will be: Conduct a needs analysis with key stakeholders within the organization Research available options to determine which development tool is most suitable and cost-effective Create a design proposal including mock-ups and timeline. Build a fully-functioning mobile app. Provide training on updating and maintaining the app. Our goal at the end of this experience is to have a fully functioning mobile app that we can use to help us communicate with our families.
