Bio

I've had the opportunity to work with over 50 companies and public sector organizations across five continents as a consultant, keynote speaker, and corporate executive focused on transformational change and the future of work.

As CEO of mBolden consulting firm, my global team of experienced senior consultants is energised by driving financial, employee, and customer experience impacts. We have improved client profitability by 30% and customer experience by 50% through our strategy and implementation engagements.

I share my global transformation and leadership expertise as a keynote and conference speaker, presenter, and facilitator for companies across Canada and abroad, represented by London Speaker Bureau. I am sought out to speak on: service leadership - empowering and enabling teams to succeed, embracing agility in business and personal lives, retail trends and digital transformation (artificial intelligence and automation), embedding micro-innovation and continuous improvement in ways of thinking and working, and managing complex change in the context of disruptive innovation.

I am passionate about social impact and co-founded Be Uninterrupted, a support system powered by AI and human connection to help professional women avoid or navigate career interruptions, or moments that matter, like looking for a job, negotiating a job offer, getting laid off, returning to work from maternity leave, or joining a board. Please follow us on Linkedin and join our waitlist at www.beuninterrupted.com - launching this fall!

I have extensive experience as an angel investor, advisor, and mentor for companies in the retail and technology domains. Apricotton, selling bras for teen and pre-teen girls, was my first investment, and their products are now available in 31 countries! In these capacities, I am actively working with start-ups across Canada and the US to build a strong foundation for exponential growth.

I volunteer as a SickKids Innovator, mentor with Urban Squash Toronto, and am on the Human Resources Committee of JIAS. I previously served as head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for a Consumer Goods company, on the Executive Advisory Council for Walmart Canada’s Women in Retail program, and on the Foundation Board and HR Committee of the McMichael Canadian Art Collection.

In everything I do, I leverage my Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Strategy. In 2023, I was recognized on The Peak’s Emerging (under age 40) Leaders List and The DMZ’s Women of the Year.

Project feedback
The comprehensive experience proved positive, marked by valuable client feedback and ongoing input that significantly facilitated the creation process. However, challenges arose from consistent updates, encompassing alterations in color schemes, general layout, and information preferences. Despite these challenges, effective communication channels were established, contributing to overall success. I would suggest that co-founders ensure alignment, particularly in situations where one might miss a meeting, as this is where most of our communication challenges surfaced. This recommendation aims to enhance coordination and communication for smoother project management. Overall, it was a great learning experience and a joy working with such great women creating a innovative company.

Practical Tools, Templates, and User Guides - Future of Work

I’m looking for a series of tools and templates to be developed covering every aspect of the employee life cycle, from talent attraction to employer value proposition to talent sourcing and selection to onboarding to talent management/reviews and so on. These should have a lens on the future of work and leading practices/thinking. These will be used with our clients, should be practical, professional, and thoughtfully designed for impact and ease of use. This initiative will provide great learning opportunities in the future of work space, working with a senior executive who will act as a mentor. It will also provide experience in corporate/professional writing.

Website and Communications Audit Tool UI / UX Design & Prototype

Our company would like to explore re-designing our current website and Communications audit tool with a prototype. The goal is to design the user interface/how this tool will look and how users will engage with it and then what the final report will look like, including potential interactive elements. This will involve: Conducting background research on our existing web application for the product. We are happy to provide a walkthrough and other resources to help bring them up to speed. Identifying key areas of our current website and what areas of focused might return the best results in a redesign. Creation of a screen by screen UX / UI prototype of a web application which can be used on all major browsers and be mobile friendly Conducting UX / UI testing with real potential users potentially involving paper prototypes or other software tools to support this

Website / digital copilot Design

Over our career paths, we run into barriers that can make our professional life more difficult. We would like students to build a digital information hub that collects relevant data from users and use it to connect women to relevant information and resources that they need (e.g., employment lawyer, job board, organization to help women get on boards, TED talk, news article, mentor from our database), sometimes before they know they need it. We would like to collaborate with students to produce a design prototype informed by real customer input and feedback and get as close to development/launch as possible by end of the project. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Product design and mapping Conducting user interviews and research on our industry, our target market, and desired website features. Designing a wireframe prototype for our website and mapping out user interactions. Documenting the design process and any additional insights that emerge. Testing the prototype with customers and surveying for feedback. Refining design ideas with input from experts and customers. Prototyping multiple versions of a design that includes the desired website features.
