Details

Our organization is anticipating a large amount of growth in the next five years. To make sure we continue to operate with a high level of efficiency, we need to have the right people in the right places. With your help, we hope to modify our current organizational structure in a way that best manages our growth priorities.

Tasks may include:

  • Research our existing structure and personnel needs using our organizational chart and speaking to employees.
  • Generate a projection for personnel needs in the next five years using quantitative and qualitative assessments.
  • Conduct a gap analysis for the skills and positions that will be needed in the next five years.
  • Develop a proposal for a reconfiguration of our current organizational structure including research, the gap analysis, an updated organization chart, and proposed solutions.
  • Create an updated organizational chart according to recommendations.
Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities (this is basically a retelling of the steps above):

  • Researched our existing organizational structure.
  • Generated a personnel projection for our needs in the next five years.
  • Conducted a gap analysis for skills and positions that will be needed in the next five years.
  • Developed a proposal including all research, the gap analysis, the updated organization chart and proposed solutions.

Bonus steps would include:

  • Included extra visual representations of data collected and modeled in the proposal.

Final deliverables should include

  • A proposal including all research, the gap analysis, the updated organization chart and proposed solutions.
  • A 20-minute presentation.
Mentorship

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Which areas of the company do we anticipate to grow the most?
  • Are there any areas or the company that are currently short staffed or overstaffed?
  • Are there any new departments we feel the need to create?.
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.

OGOW Health is an award-winning mobile health (m-health) organization that specializes in providing customized m-health solutions to empower healthcare providers, caregivers, and governments in under-served communities.

OGOW Health's solution focuses on digitizing medical records, promoting public health interventions such as maternal and infant health, and providing easy-to-access and timely care and patient information to providers and caregivers to aid in informed decision-making.

Our beneficiaries range from adults, caregivers, children, and newborns, to frontline health workers, policymakers, and health care professionals operating in all tiers of the health system. Importantly, our platform also supports NGO leaders, administrators, and government officials to access consolidated data on various health indicators for reporting and to better inform decision-making and planning.
